You can also advertise but only in self-contained/designated threads.

Do not aggressively advertise your imageboard as the rules state.
This also applies to posting your imageboard to other boards (like /qa/) as if you do so; you will be gifted with a 1-day global ban.

I find it really interesting how each imageboard has its own culture. Unfortunately imageboards are such a forgotten art and only basedjak.st has its own memorable culture. And 4chan is just filled with oldheads

it was never about basedjaks even if people believed it was
>>
>>27
I should elaborate. People always came to site first and foremost because it's funny, a fun place to post, and full of leaky chuddies. Basedjaks were never necessary for that, though they probably helped. There's a real sense in which it was about basedjaks, but the basedjaks wer never fundamentally why people came to the site. They could've been replaced with another meme, had a different aesthetically appealing chud-coded meme developed on /qa/
I'm unsure if what I'm saying is controversial

4chon has died. It had been alive for a while, but now it will have fewer posts every day, and posters will leave. The era of 4chon is over. You can emerge from your caves and even start a family. There's nothing left to look at anymore.

moo could you tell us how you installed yotsuba on your site the only guide that i found basically said "put this here and this here and figure out the sql tables"
>>
It's going to be quick and fast, create all of the folders where you'll be setting it up, download all the essentials and the things you need, you can also use AI it you need help with setting it up.

For the captcha, install a modern version of the GD library because if you rely on the 5.6 one, it won't work and it will make the captcha look like rectangular boxes.

That's it, I'm too lazy to explain the rest—oh yeah, pray that it works and you're set.
>>
>>196
Also, if you need the font: https://www.danceswithferrets.org/lab/gdfs/

If you're too lazy to do all of it; just install OpenYotsuba and call it a day.

A new anonymous imageboard in the spirit of old internet culture.

No accounts. No tracking. Just posts.

Come in if you're into:

/b/ – chaos, randomness, shitposting
/urbex/ – abandoned places & urban exploration
/cryptids/ – strange creatures and internet myths
/hentai/ – NSFW anime content

The internet the way it used to be… or maybe the way it shouldn’t be.

imageboards kind of have a tree view built into them with how you can see replies to a post in the post header. You do have to hover over the numbers to actually see the posts though, so maybe it's more like a tree navigation system. The post number system is really good and it's crazy traditional believe forums with names and stuff never adopted it. I'm a chronological reply extremist, but even I'll admit it's not better in literally every case. If I had to toggle tree view on and off, I'd never turn it on, but being able to navigate like this for just one interesting reply or something is good.

>being able to navigate like this for just one interesting reply or something is good
agree 100%. i personally hate threaded conversations, just as much as the next.
the problem with forced "tree views" (like reddit) is that they split the conversation into fifty tiny, isolated sub-threads where people just yap in circles.
having a flat, chronological layout where you can hover over the backlinks to preview replies is the best of both worlds.
